Isaac and his hunt for Sports Cars has taken us to a few car shows lately, he always seems to come away disappointed because, "There are no sports cars." Remember, a sports car starts with Corvettes and goes up from there is his book. No cars older that 2005, no
Firebirds,
Cameros (except 2009 an 2010) or Chargers. Only Corvette,
Ferrari,
Lamborghini, etc. Well we stopped in Athens, OH on our way to Columbus to take Grandma and Grandpa Young to the airport. There was a little car show there... low and behold there was a 2009 Lotus. Jackpot, he was stoked. We looked at it for a bit and the guys liked Isaac for some reason so he help Isaac into the driver seat for a few minutes. BIG smiles...

Pushers, not pullers. The mid engine really speaks to me. The Lotus is a gorgeous machine, but on my salary, the Porsche 914 is a little more realistic.

The Lotus' at the dealer in Columbus, OH were about $55k... Not too far out of reach. But who can afford a toy car, not me.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as we stopped to eat and Isaac spotted the cars, he wanted to go take a look at them. That was a fun little car show. I'm glad we took time to look at the cars. We sure had a great time with you guys. I hope we can do it again sometime soon. gma & gpa
