Bike Rides

I have never (in my adult life) bought myself a new bicycle. I have always just bought one at a yard sale or something. The last one I had was a GT, or a "Gentleman's Tri-annual" as JRuss calls them, that was too small for me. Wait, bikes come is sizes? I thought there were like 4 sizes, adult, kids, littler kids, and ladies. Both ChrisP and JRuss told me the bike was waaaaay too small the first time they saw it. So, I sold it to some other pour sap at our yard sale before we left Utah.

Amy has been anxious for me to get a new bike every since we got to West Virginia. She wants to got on family rides like we did in St. George. So we got on the hunt (with my cycling advisor on speed dial) with the idea that if we found a good one we would look a bit online to see if we could find a great deal. I found a good one today and the price was pretty good too. So, after work I grabbed it.

I got an '08 Gary Fisher Wahoo Disc. You can't forget the Disc part. It's pretty nice. I had them put on a "cycle-o-meter" as Pete my salesman and bike mechanic called it. It tells me speed, distance, etc. You all know I am a geek and a sucker for anything electronical. Here is a quick link to the bike specs

http://www.fisherbikes.com/bike/model/wahoo-disc . Lucky for me I found last years color... I mean model, and got it cheaper.

So, off we go, we can all ride I bike in the evening, if it will stop raining. I have included a picture of me on the new ride, the tress from the road just up the street from the house and little LexyJo riding her bike with me.

Thanks for your help JRuss..! Someday I might just be able to get one of the fancy Sabrosa Cycles rides. http://www.sabrosacycles.com/ . For those of you who haven't seen these sweet bikes here are two links to some sweet pics and write ups on them.
