Misc Stuff from this Week

I got a call from a strange phone number the other night. It was Elder Wright. One of the missionaries that we got quite close with last summer when he was serving in Charleston. He and I have passed some letters back and forth. It was his last day on his mission and he wanted to see us. The kids and I met him at the mission home for about an hour. It was super fun. He headed back to Dallas, TX where he is from, but he is planning to go to school in Pittsburgh, PA this fall. We'll see him again when he comes back. Thanks Elder Wright...!!!
I was in downtown Charleston yesterday and saw this car. We parked and walked back to check it out. Pretty cool. I talked to the guy for a minute. He is from here and is working on a temporary basis with Google to map the area. He said that once he was done the car would be passed on to someone in a different area and he would find a new job. I use Google Street View all the time so it was cool to see one of their cars.
Matt and I were passing through Charleston about lunch time so we stopped by Pies and Pints for some lunch. I like this picture.

Last night we stopped by the SCMIA to get Isaac's skates. We accidentally left them their the other day. Butch told the kids, "We have dead ice until 7:15 if you want to skate." Of course they do. Isaac laced up and borrowed a stick while Lexy and I ran home to get her skates. I brought Isaac back some other gear, he had a blast with one of the guys that works at the rink getting some extra stick and puck drills in. I left my iPod with him so that he could get some jammin' in at the same time on the ice rink sound system.

Even Lexy got in on some stick and puck. They had fun passing the puck back and forth. She wanted a picture in her hockey pose. You all know Lexy though, she skated her last routine, did some spins with the stick in hand, and skated to some Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.

I love that place. THANK YOU Butch...!!!!
